Traveling out of Yosemite National Park, I continued on toward the coast until I hit Highway 101 at Petaluma, Califonria. After a night in Santa Rosa, I headed straight (more or less) north up Hwy 101, straight into the stretch called the "Avenue of_the Giants" for the profusion of Giant Sequoias and Redwood Groves.
